Alexander graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School in 2017 under the direction of Mavis Staines and joined Cas Public the same year. After five years exclusively performing Hélène Blackburn’s works both in Quebec and abroad, he began a freelance dance career in 2023 while maintaining a strong connection to Cas Public.
Over the years, he has had the opportunity to dance for Céline Dion, collaborate in the studio with Édouard Lock, create with Hélène Simard, and more recently, perform Béatrice Larouche’s choreography in a short film production by visual artist Jonathan Tremblay. He has also performed works by Aszure Barton, John Neumeier, George Balanchine, Cai Glover, Adrian Batt, and Pauline Berndsen Gervais. Most recently, he assisted Hélène Blackburn in her creation for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Since 2020, Alexander has also been the photographer behind the company’s official dancer portraits.
