Leah Hamel, originally from Los Angeles, is a versatile artist based in Montreal, working as a professional dancer, choreographer, cellist, and composer. At the age of 18, she moved to New York to study at the Juilliard School, where she earned her BFA in Dance. Since then, she has collaborated with several professional dance companies, performing in Los Angeles and internationally. Alongside her dance career, Leah is an accomplished classical cellist, having studied the instrument for nearly twenty years, notably with Celine Gietzen. Starting at the age of 19, she also joined rock and folk bands. Currently, Leah is developing an interdisciplinary method that fuses her passion for dance and music.
