Cas Public is pleased to announce that Hélène Blackburn, Executive & Artistic Director and Choreographer of the company is the recipient of the 2019 Prix Hommage awarded by the Professional Association of Broadcasters — RIDEAU. This award celebrates Hélène Blackburn's career as a choreographer and her long-standing involvement in the artistic community, while underlining her determination to democratize dance by making it more accessible to all audiences. Seeking to push the limits of what is agreed to offer a neophyte audience, the recipient creates strong works that remain eminently accessible. She puts a point of honour to promote and spread the art of dance on all the stages, in the most diversified contexts. The Tribute Award was presented on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Capitole de Québec during the awards ceremony, which will close the 5 days of RIDEAU, where more than 1,200 professionals will be brought together.
